Masters Somatic Practitioner Certification
​Requirements
  • Complete 3 Somatic Therapy Practitioner Courses if you have some prior training in another healing or counseling modality (if not you will also need to complete the Emotional Detox | Somatic Release Therapy course in addition to the 3 Somatic Therapy Practitioner Courses)
  • Complete 4 case studies from your own practice sessions
  • ​Complete 2 personal practice hours
  • Complete 5 Somatic Therapy Practitioner Courses
  • Complete 8 case studies from your own practice sessions
  • ​Complete 4 personal practice hours
  • Complete 2 hours supervision on cases with Shana
  • Complete 2 hours private healing sessions with Shana

Instructions for applying for your advanced certification:

1. Complete payment using the payment button below

2. After we receive your payment you will receive:
  • course completion form (on this form you will attached your completed course certificates)
  • ​case studies form  (on this form you will attached information about your 4 or 8 completed case study practice sessions)
  • personal practice hours form  (on this form you will attached information about your 2 or 4 personal practice hours)

3. FOR THOSE APPLYING FOR THE MASTERS CERTIFICATE ONLY after your payment is received you will also receive a scheduling link to schedule your private healing and supervision sessions with Shana

After submitting payment you will receive:

​-forms to use for submitting your requirements (courses, case studies, and personal practice hours)
-for the Master's Certificate you will also receive a schedule link to schedule your private sessions and supervision sessions

COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENT DETAILS

3 Somatic Therapy courses must be completed for the Advanced Certification and 5 Somatic Therapy courses must be completed for the Masters Certification. The current Practitioner courses offered are:
  • Somatic Mind Body Healing Practitioner Course
  • Somatic Integration Practitioner Course
  • Somatic Reprocessing Practitioner Course

for those with no prior training in a healing or counseling modality you will also need to complete
  • Emotional Detox | Somatic Release Therapy Course

CASE STUDIES REQUIREMENT DETAILS

4 case studies for the Advanced Certificate and 8 case studies for the Masters Certificate on practice sessions that you completed with friends/family/pre-existing clients must be submitted using the form that you will receive where you will be asked to summarize:
  • the presenting issue/background information of the client
  • the process you took the client through
  • changes that you noticed in the client after the session
  • follow up recommendations/other observations/remaining questions that you had after the practice session

PERSONAL PRACTICE HOURS REQUIREMENT DETAILS

2 hours of personal practice hours for the Advanced Certificate and 4 hours of personal practice hours for the Masters certificate that you completed on your own for personal healing and development must be submitted. The following activities that will be accepted as Personal Practice Hours are:
  • personal meditation time
  • emotional healing work based on one of your Inner Wellsprings Academy Somatic Therapy courses
  • exercises that you completed from any of the Inner Wellsprings Academy Somatic Therapy Courses that you have completed (2 exercises = 1 personal practice hour)

The form that you will receive to document your Personal Practice Hours will require you to enter the following information:
  • what the activity was 
  • how long did you spend on the activity
  • reflections, observations, or insights from the activity

PRIVATE SESSIONS REQUIREMENT DETAILS

2 private healing sessions are required for the Masters Somatic Therapy Practitioner certificate where Shana will guide you through a healing process that is catered toward your individual healing needs and blocks. After payment is received you will receive a scheduling link to schedule your sessions with Shana.

SUPERVISION HOURS REQUIREMENT DETAILS

2 private supervision sessions are required for the Masters Somatic Therapy Practitioner certificate where Shana will discuss with you and give you feedback on your cases from your private practice as well as will answer any additional questions that you have on your cases and on any of the techniques. These supervision sessions are designed to support you in becoming more proficient and masterful in your application of the tools and techniques that you have learned.
