Rectifying Your Relationship with Food: an 8 week healing journey
The unrectified aspects of one's relationship with food present a unique opportunity for one to undergo deep healing. During six two hour sessions, we will meet in an intimate group of 6 women to focus on the physical emotional and spiritual aspects of one's relationship with food. We will spend one hour doing yoga and meditation geared toward opening up to the deeper levels of healing around food issues and one hour dealing with other aspects such as: naturopathic recommendations around healing food issues, practical applications of healing food issues, and empowering tools for healing that one can implement into ones life. There will also be time for group sharing and support.
This workshop is for women who struggle with food related issues. There isn’t going to be a focus on any specific eating disorder although anyone who has suffered from eating disorders in the past is welcome. The focus, rather, will be about recognizing that we all have issues underlying our relationship with food. We will spend time learning how to use those issues to heal and transform ourselves toward a place of increasing amounts of mindfulness presence and connection.
The yoga and meditation sessions will be geared toward imparting practical tools to rectifying one’s relationship with food. There will be additional group time spent every week learning techniques to transform one’s habitual ways of turning to food to cope or fulfill other needs. I will also be teaching some naturopathic tools like accupressure, applied kinesiology, and pendulum to assist in some of the different healing techniques.
We will meet at a fixed time every week for six weeks (skipping weeks for holidays etc.). The specific time may be determined according to what the group of individuals wanting to participate decide. There may be more then one group since the maximum participants per group is 6.
Some possible times are:
Fridays from 9:45am-11:45am
Wednesdays or Thursdays from 8:30pm-10:30pm
Sunday or Thursday mornings
Cost for 6 sessions is 540 (90 shekels per session).
Start date is as soon as the group fills up which may be as soon as September 15th.
